This (relatively old) joke is meant to be a joke but it seems like Keith Pille actually should have written the screenplay for this weekend's movie (despite its box office success).

This is a follow-up to the original, or it might actually be a prequel. I know I've read one of these before. Anyway, like I said, it's an amusing joke -- sort of like the "classic" Star Trek: The Next Generation episode, "Lower Decks" but for the Hasbro cartoon.
