Not exactly. According to figures obtained from Nielsen/Soundscan by our research department, "The View" sank like a stone during the first two weeks of June, right after Rosie left.

Indeed, "The View" suffered a 13 percent decline in household ratings, and a 9 percent decline in overall ratings during the combined weeks of June 4 and 11 compared with Rosie's last two weeks.

So last night, Andy and I went to see the re-release of Labyrinth -- which was far more awesome and far more awful than I remember.  Jennifer Connelly was so bad she almost came back around to good again, but it did sort of remind you that Jim Henson should only ever have directed Muppets.

Anyway as the closing credits rolled, this awesomely cute girl next to me turned to her awesomely cute boyfriend and tried to convince him that one of the choreographers Cheryl McFadden is also known as Gates McFadden.

Yes, this Gates McFadden:

He called nerd bullshit and I silently agreed.  But she wouldn't let up.

And it turns out - it's true.   I guess, if I'd remembered she was in The Muppets Take Manhattan, this shouldn't have been such a surprise, and the more I think about it, the more I feel like others have told me this before and I’d forgotten – or not believed them – but still, I’m so nerd shamed, and I apologize to those whom I've let down - past, present, and future.
